Mad Mad Ghost (1992) aka Huang jin dao shi

A kung fu master coming from the tradition of the HEAVEN AND EARTH SOCIETY, rents a loft to teach his students. Coinciding with his open mind, sooner starts contacts with previous occupants, a ghost wedlock, both higly skilled in chinesse boxing, but with a opressed wife that slowly evolves to a much better situation. I really wouldnt put this movie in the horror category. Though ghosts and doubtful magics, this is a good martial arts show, with a satiric eye about human weakness and nobilities.

The Musical Vampire (1992) aka Yin yue jiang shi


A crazy white scientist resurrects a corpse with a werid chemical creating a super hopping ghost. The only thing that can somewhat control it is the sound of music. A Tao Priest and his two assistants try and stop it from destroying the countryside.

Devils Flute (1979) aka Akuma ga kitarite fue o fuku


In one of the best films of this type, famous detective Kindaichi solves a series of mysterious murders in a wealthy family. An excellent blend of intrigue and betrayal, set against the backdrop of wealth, this film is loaded with twists and turns and surprises at every corner. Things are never as they seem, and it will keep you guessing until the very end. A rare treasure of a mystery, like none before or since!

Ninja Vampire Busters (1989) aka Zhuo gui da shi


In ancient China, a demon was defeated in a fierce battle with a priest, who sealed it’s evil spirit in a vase. Centuries later, during the cultural revolution, rebels attempted to gain possession of the vessel from the priest’s descendant; however, he threw it into the ocean to keep it from being tampered. The vase was recovered years later in Hong Kong and was auctioned off to a councilman. The demon, unfortunately,escaped and took control of the ouncilman’s body, beginning a spree of
terror in the city.

Sleepy Eyes of Death 4: Sword of Seduction (1964) aka Nemuri Kyôshirô: Joyôken

This film of the sleepy-eyed ronin series has the quite reluctant hero refuse to come to the assistance of a Japanese Christian in an age of both proselytizing and persecution, but later come around and render the services of his sword following a series of events, with the involvement of a malevolent princess, that lay to bare hypocrisy in many forms.
